I received a Ph.D. degree in Physics from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio. I am currently working as a Physical Science Instructor at Allen County Community College, Iola Campus. I worked as postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Physics, University of Illinois at Chicago for four years 2012-2016 before joining Allen Community College.
My research work involves the experimental study of high-energy nuclear collisions using accelerators. I have been analyzing RHIC data to study the fluid-like behavior and phase transitions in the dense and highly excited matter created in heavy ion collisions. My work related to the possible observation of first order phase transition in subatomic nuclear matter has got worldwide attention and widely covered in different media reporting recent discoveries.
I have experience in designing, programming and testing software across a variety of platforms. I have over 6 years experience in C, C++ and ROOT. I also have experience in Python, Matlab, Mathematica and Perl scripting. I have expertise in quantitative analysis on large scale data from Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider, complex simulations and software development for slow control system for the Internal Silicon Tracker (IST) detector.
