My professional life spans on over 20 years in assisting entrepreneurs and companies in their activities and, in addition, several years of activity in the public administration, at the Romanian Competition Council (the public competition authority), where I served as Board Member and later on, as its Vice-President and also in the Romanian government.
I started as a consultant with KPMG and during my activity I provided legal assistance to large multinational companies, in various industries.
My core areas of expertise is the competition law and the state-aid. In addition, I gained significant legal and industry-specific expertise in TMT Law (telecommunications/media/technology) and Energy Law.
I am an experienced litigator and my legal experience includes the most important aspects a business needs, from commercial contracts to legal due diligence and compliance.
In addition to a master diploma from Sorbonne University, I hold a PhD in civil law (recovery of damages by victims of antitrust infringements) from the Bucharest University.
I wrote several books and numerous articles, particularly in competition law and other business matters, and I am regular speaker at conferences and roundtables in Romania and abroad.
I intend to further develop my skills in competition, telecoms, media and energy matters. On the academic side, I plan to write several books on competition and regulation matters.
